KLSICCI Hosts Agriculture Sector Development Programme to Strengthen Agribusiness and Food Security

The Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KLSICCI), through its Agro Industry Committee, successfully organised the Agriculture Sector Development Programme (ASDP) at its Training Room, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman.

Carrying the theme “Agricultural Commercialisation, Empowering Agribusiness Growth and National Food Security”, the programme highlighted Malaysia’s agricultural potential, emerging innovations, and strategic approaches to strengthening national food security while creating new opportunities for agribusiness development.

The programme commenced with a welcoming address by the Organising Chairman, Dr. Gunalan Shanmugam, setting the tone for a day of knowledge sharing and industry engagement. This was followed by a series of insightful presentations by distinguished speakers:

An engaging question-and-answer session, moderated by Dr. Gunalan Shanmugam and Datuk Sandrasegaran, provided participants with the opportunity to discuss key challenges, explore collaborative opportunities, and gain practical insights into the evolving agriculture sector.

The programme concluded with closing remarks by Ms. Mogana Chinnathamby, Honorary Secretary General of KLSICCI, who expressed her appreciation to the speakers, participants, and supporters for their valuable contributions towards the success of the event.
