KLSICCI Deepavali Open House – தீப வண்ணங்கள் 2025: Colours of Light, Celebration of Unity

OBJECTIVE:
To celebrate Deepavali while fostering unity, strengthening community ties, and supporting the empowerment of Indian entrepreneurs and youth through digital advancement and education.

27th Nov 2025, Batu Caves – The Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KLSICCI) successfully hosted KLSICCI Deepavali Open House 2025, themed “தீப வண்ணங்கள் 2025: Colours of Light, Celebration of Unity” at Shenga Convention Hall, Batu Caves, supported by the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Digital and various corporate partners. The event was organised under the leadership of KLSICCI Vice President and Organising Chairman, Mr. Panir Selvam Chandrasegaran.

The Open House brought together dignitaries, KLSICCI members, industry leaders, and the broader business community for an evening that highlighted cultural pride, unity, and shared aspirations for progress.

The evening commenced with a welcoming address by KLSICCI President, Mr. Nivas Ragavan, who warmly received the distinguished guests and highlighted the Chamber’s commitment to fostering unity, strengthening the Indian business ecosystem, and advancing members through innovation and digital transformation.

The celebration was officiated by Y.B. Puan Michelle Ng Mei Sze, Political Secretary to the Honourable Minister of Digital, YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo. Conveying the Minister’s message, she emphasised the government’s continued commitment to accelerate Malaysia’s digital transformation. She recognised KLSICCI’s Vision 2026, which focuses on empowering Indian entrepreneurs through modernisation, digitalisation, and upskilling for an AI-driven economic landscape. The government reaffirmed its support through initiatives such as the Digital Adoption Grant, National AI Centre of Excellence, AI for Rakyat programme and national targets to develop 900 AI start-ups and cultivate 30,000 AI talents by 2026.

The Open House also welcomed several distinguished international dignitaries, including H.E. Nineta Barbulescu, Ambassador of Romania to Malaysia; H.E. Mr. Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury, High Commissioner of Bangladesh; H.E. M. I. Mohamed Rizvi, Acting High Commissioner of Sri Lanka; and distinguished guests YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. R. Palan and YBhg Tan Sri Puvanendran.

A key highlight of the celebration was the launch of KLSICCI’s first-ever Student Appreciation Initiative, introduced to recognise and encourage academic excellence within the Indian community. As part of this initiative, seven outstanding students who achieved exceptional results in SPM 2024 and STPM 2024 were presented with laptops to support their continued education and future aspirations.

The event reflected the Chamber’s continued dedication to strengthening community bonds and uplifting the Indian business ecosystem. Filled with vibrant cultural performances, festive cuisine and meaningful networking opportunities, the KLSICCI Deepavali Open House 2025 stood as a shining symbol of Malaysia’s multicultural harmony and KLSICCI’s commitment to empowering entrepreneurs in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
