KLSICCI and BAC College Mobilise Community, Collecting Over 60 Pints in Blood Donation Drive

The Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KLSICCI), in collaboration with BAC College and Pusat Darah Negara (PDN), successfully organised a Blood Donation Campaign that brought together the business, academic, and public communities in a meaningful act of service.

The initiative was spearheaded by Ir. Selvarajoo Horikrishna, KLSICCI Council Member and Chairperson of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Portfolio, as well as the Logistics & Transport Industry Representative. His leadership ensured smooth coordination and effective outreach for this life-saving campaign.

The event was further strengthened by the support of Mr. Aria Singam, CEO of BAC College, along with the strong presence of KLSICCI’s leadership, including President Mr. Nivas Ragavan, Deputy President Mr. Prabagaran Vythilingam, Hon. Secretary General Ms. Mogana Chinnathamby, and Hon. Treasurer Mr. Selvaraj Asiravatham, reflecting the Chamber’s unified commitment to social welfare.

Also in attendance were esteemed Council Members Datuk Ganesh Muraj, Mr. Shamil Patel, Dr. Gunalan Shanmugam, Chairperson of the Agro (Farming & Livestock) Industry, Dato’ Sandra Sekaran, Co-Chairperson of the Agro (Farming & Livestock) Industry, as well as Mr. Rajan Selvakumaran, Mrs. Mohanadevi, and Mr. Sakthivelaan, a CSR Committee Member. Their presence highlighted the Chamber’s collective dedication to community service.

The campaign recorded an encouraging turnout of more than 60 donors, comprising students, KLSICCI members, and members of the public. Each pint collected represents a vital contribution towards saving lives and strengthening Malaysia’s national blood supply.

In addition to the blood donation drive, Resident Dental Clinic extended its support by offering free dental screenings to the public, further enhancing the campaign’s health awareness objectives.

KLSICCI remains steadfast in its mission to not only empower the business community but also to serve as a driving force for social good through impactful and sustainable CSR initiatives.
