𝑲𝑳𝑺𝑰𝑪𝑪𝑰’𝑺 96𝑻𝑯 𝑨𝑮𝑴 𝑪𝑯𝑨𝑹𝑻𝑺 𝑨 𝑩𝑶𝑳𝑫 𝑷𝑨𝑻𝑯 𝑭𝑶𝑹 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑭𝑼𝑻𝑼𝑹𝑬: 𝑯𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑳𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑻𝑺 𝑳𝑬𝑨𝑫𝑬𝑹𝑺𝑯𝑰𝑷 𝑽𝑰𝑺𝑰𝑶𝑵, 𝑫𝑰𝑮𝑰𝑻𝑨𝑳 𝑻𝑹𝑨𝑵𝑺𝑭𝑶𝑹𝑴𝑨𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵, 𝑨𝑵𝑫 𝑪𝑶𝑴𝑴𝑼𝑵𝑰𝑻𝒀 𝑬𝑵𝑮𝑨𝑮𝑬𝑴𝑬𝑵𝑻.

𝟏𝟖 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, 𝐊𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐋𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐫 – The Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KLSICCI) held its 96th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Royal Selangor Club Ballroom, with around 86 members attending, demonstrating strong unity and purpose among the Indian business community.

President Mr. Nivas Ragavan welcomed members and emphasised the Chamber’s mission to support Indian entrepreneurs and SMEs, urging collective action towards economic growth and new opportunities.

Guest of Honour Y.Bhg. Mr. Charles Santiago, Co-Chairman of ASEAN Parliamentarians for Human Rights (APHR) and a three-term Member of Parliament for Klang, delivered an inspiring address. He highlighted the importance of inclusive growth, human rights, and the role of chambers in empowering communities. He urged SMEs to adopt emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and digitalisation, stressing that innovation is vital for future competitiveness.

Honorary Secretary General Ms. Mogana Chinnathamby presented the Annual Report, summarising key achievements including trade missions, policy dialogues, and community initiatives that showcased the Chamber’s proactive approach.

The 2024 Audit Report was presented by Assistant Secretary General Mr. Tony Clifford Thomas on behalf of the Honorary Treasurer detailing the Chamber’s financial health. His clear explanations satisfied member queries, reinforcing KLSICCI’s commitment to transparency and sound financial management.

Council Member and Chairperson of the Legal Affairs and Constitution Committee, Mr. V.K.K. Rajasekaran, then presented a Resolution for the 2024–2026 Management Council. Members engaged in a lively discussion before voting, adopting some resolutions and respectfully rejecting others, reflecting democratic governance.

Entering into 97th year, KLSICCI remains a resilient and visionary force championing Indian business interests in Malaysia.
