Objective: To provide IIFT students with firsthand exposure to Malaysia’s business environment and the role of KLSICCI in fostering international trade and investment. Through interactive discussions, presentations, and networking, the session aimed to enhance students’ understanding of trade policies, market opportunities, and strategic business collaborations between India and Malaysia, equipping them with practical insights into global business dynamics.
16th Jan 2025, Kuala Lumpur – The Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KLSICCI) welcomed a delegation of MBA International Business and MBA Business Analytics students from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Delhi, as part of their educational tour to Malaysia. This interactive session aimed to provide students with a deeper understanding of KLSICCI’s role in promoting international trade and business collaborations.
Led by Dr. Tuheena Mukherjee, Assistant Professor in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management of IIFT, the delegation comprised 50 students eager to learn about Malaysia’s dynamic business landscape and the Chamber’s efforts in fostering trade and investment between India and Malaysia. KLSICCI President Mr. Nivas Ragavan, along with Deputy President Mr. Prabagaran Vyithilingam, Hon. Secretary General Ms. Mogana Chinnathamby, and key council members, hosted the session, providing insights into the Chamber’s various initiatives and its impact on the business community.
The session included a detailed presentation on KLSICCI’s role in advocating for businesses, facilitating B2B networking, and promoting trade opportunities through strategic partnerships and international delegations. The discussion also covered Malaysia’s economic landscape, investment policies, and key sectors where Indian businesses can collaborate and expand.
Students actively engaged in a Q&A session, where they explored topics such as trade regulations, digital transformation in commerce, and emerging trends in international business. The interactive exchange provided valuable exposure to real-world business operations and global market integration.
