THE KEY TO SUCCESS ESTD 1928

17 th March 2026, Kuala Lumpur – A high-level engagement session aimed at facilitating business operations in the capital was successfully held, chaired by Y.B. Hannah Yeoh, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) underscoring the Federal  Government’s commitment to strengthening the business ecosystem. Also in attendance were the Datuk Bandar of DBKL Datuk Seri TPr. Fadlun bin Mak Ujud, as well as all Department Directors.

The session brought together three key business chambers, namely The Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Kuala Lumpur  Selangor (KLSCCCI), Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Malaysia (DPMM), and the Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce
and Industry (KLSICCI), providing a platform for constructive dialogue with Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL).

Representing KLSICCI were President Nivas Ragavan, Deputy President Prabagaran Vythilingam, Honorary Secretary Mogana Chinnathamby, and KL District Chairperson Kumaraguru.

Key issues discussed included licensing procedures, enforcement practices, regulatory compliance, and the need to streamline approval processes. The session also emphasized a more business-friendly approach and stronger communication between DBKL and the
business community.

This engagement session reflects the collective commitment of the Federal Government, local authorities, and business chambers in supporting economic development and reinforcing Kuala Lumpur’s position as a vibrant and competitive business hub.
