29th September 2026, Chennai – The Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KLSICCI) was honoured to participate in the inaugural Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Namaste Asia 2026 – South India Meets Asia in Chennai, strengthening our commitment to advancing trade, investment and enterprise collaboration between Malaysia, India and the wider ASEAN region.
Representing KLSICCI, our President, Mr. V.K.K. Rajasekaran Teagarajan, delivered a keynote address highlighting opportunities to deepen bilateral trade, investment and business partnerships, while positioning KLSICCI as an important bridge connecting Malaysian enterprises with opportunities in India.
A significant milestone of the engagement was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between KLSICCI and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). This strategic partnership establishes a structured platform to advance:
- Business matching and trade missions between Malaysian and Indian companies
- Investment facilitation and market access, particularly for SMEs
- Knowledge exchange in industry, technology and skills development
- Stronger institutional and business ties as KLSICCI approaches its centenary in 2028
For KLSICCI members, this collaboration represents greater access to business networks, potential partners and opportunities within one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing markets. Moving forward, KLSICCI is committed to translating this MoU into tangible opportunities and measurable outcomes for our members.
