5th March, Kuala Lumpur — A delegation from the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KLSCCI) held a meeting with YBM Steven Sim Chee Keong, Malaysia’s Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (Kementerian Pembangunan Usahawan dan Koperasi), at Menara Bank Rakyat in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday.
The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation between the ministry and the Indian business community, as well as exploring opportunities to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Also present at the session were Mr. Rizal bin Dato’ Nainy, Chief Executive Officer of SME Corp. Malaysia; Pn. Noor Aeiza Hassan, Chief Executive Officer of Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia; and Mr. Mohamad Mahil Ahmad, Secretary of the Policy and International Relations Division, along with representatives from related agencies.
The KLSCCI delegation was led by its President Mr. Nivas Ragavan and included Deputy President Mr. Prabagaran Vythilingam, Honorary Secretary General Ms. Mogana Chinnathamby, Assistant Honorary Secretary General Mr. Tony Clifford Thomas, and council members Is. Dr. Selvarajoo Horkrishna, Mr. Krish Madhavan, Ms. Annutha Muniandy, Ms. Sanmugha Selvi, and Datuk Ganesh Muraj.
The meeting provided an opportunity for KLSCCI representatives to engage directly with the minister and relevant agencies on issues affecting entrepreneurs and the development of SMEs.
