KLSICCI Participates In Sri Lanka Investor Trade & Tourism Forum 2025

11th July 2025, Kuala Lumpur – The Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KLSICCI) proudly participated in the Sri Lanka Investor Trade & Tourism Forum 2025, held at the Royal Selangor Club, Kuala Lumpur. The event was organised by the Sri Lankan High Commission in Malaysia, in collaboration with CHEC Port City Colombo Ltd., to highlight Sri Lanka’s investment potential to Malaysian stakeholders.

The forum was officiated by Hon. Vijitha Herath, Sri Lanka’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism. Distinguished guests included YB Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI); Acting High Commissioner M.I. Mohamed Rizvi; YDM Tengku Maha Kurnia DiRaja Tengku Saifan Rafahan of the Selangor Royal Family; and Ms. Chamari Rodrigo, Director General, Southeast Asia Division, Sri Lanka Foreign Ministry.

KLSICCI was represented by President Mr. Nivas Ragavan, Deputy President Mr. Prabagaran Vythilingam, Hon. Secretary General, and Council Member Dr. Chitra Devi, reaffirming the Chamber’s commitment to advancing bilateral trade and investment relations.

Port City Colombo, the Strategic Partner of the forum, presented its role as a flagship South Asian development, showcasing its Special Economic Zone model, infrastructure potential, and opportunities in real estate, financial services, and modern exports. A Q&A session followed, focusing on investor facilitation and cross-border collaboration.

Participants also included officials from Malaysian ministries and major business chambers such as NCCIM, FMM, FOMSO, MSBLC, SLMBC, MATRADE, and the BRICS Chamber of Malaysia.

KLSICCI applauds this initiative to strengthen Malaysia–Sri Lanka economic ties and remains committed to supporting collaborative platforms that drive regional investment and trade.
