𝐊𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐋𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐫, 𝟐𝟖 𝐅𝐞𝐛 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 – The Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KLSICCI), through its Women Entrepreneur Development Committee (WEDC), successfully hosted the MIDF & MBSB Briefing & Business Clinic Empowering Women Entrepreneurs at the KLSICCI Training Room. MIDF and MBSB Bank supported the event to equip women entrepreneurs with vital financial knowledge and access to tailored funding opportunities to drive business growth.

The session commenced with a warm welcome by KLSICCI Council Member & WEDC Chairperson, Pn. Fauziah Bibi, followed by an inspiring opening address by KLSICCI Vice President, Mr. Panir Selvam who reaffirmed the chamber’s commitment to fostering women’s entrepreneurship, emphasising the crucial role of financial literacy and strategic funding in empowering women-led enterprises.

The event featured insightful presentations from Pn. Zubaidah Mohamad Noor, Manager of Customer Enrichment at MIDF, introduced the Women (Independent) SME Entrepreneurs (MWISE) program, which provides competitive financing options designed to support the expansion and innovation of women-led businesses. Pn. Suzana Abu Bakar, Manager of Trade Business at MBSB Bank, then delivered an in-depth briefing on the Micro Biz Financing (MBF) and Jump Start Financing (JSF) schemes, outlining the eligibility criteria, application process, and financial benefits available to women entrepreneurs seeking capital to scale their businesses.

A key highlight of the event was the Q&A session, where attendees had the opportunity to engage in one-on-one consultations with financial experts from MIDF and MBSB Bank. This personalized session enabled women entrepreneurs to discuss their business financing needs, receive expert guidance on loan applications, and explore effective strategies for sustainable financial management.

KLSICCI reaffirmed its dedication to empowering women entrepreneurs through similar initiatives in the future, ensuring they have the necessary support, resources, and financial access to thrive in an increasingly competitive business landscape.
