16th August 2023 , KL โ KLSICCI took a step forward in the industry to spearhead the awareness of MACC’sย Section 17A ( Corporate Liability Compliance ) amongst MSMEs and also had a Corruption Free Pledge signing ceremony earlier yesterday in Royal Lake Club in Kuala Lumpur.ย
The presentation of MACC’s Section 17A Corporate Liability Compliance was delivered by Mr. Thilak Munusamy, Superintendant of Community Education Division of Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
The speaker explained well on the 4 categories that falls under commercial organization in the Section 17A which are companies that established under the Companies Act 2016, businesses registered under Partnership Act 1961, businesses registered under Limited Liability Partnership Act 2012 and local/foreign commercial organizations that conducts business or part of businesses in Malaysia.
The Corruption Free Pledge ( oath taking ) was led by President Mr Nivas Ragavan along with respective KLSICCI Exco and Council members, thereafter followed by Corruption Free Pledge signing ceremony by President Mr. Nivas Ragavan witnessed by Senior Assistant Commission (SAC) Mr Samsul bin Salip of Deputy Head of MACC’s Community Education Department.ย
